It was a sunny day at Emerald Beach and everyone's there! Some were riding waves on surfboards while others were getting a tan. One girl, though, seemed confused about the whole thing.
"What is the objective of this activity, Rouge?" she asked.
Rouge — a bat lady she trusted wholly — smiled at her companion. "To enjoy yourself," she simply answered.
The echidna girl offered a perplexed look back at her friend. This was weird to her. She paused to look at her pistachio ice cream cone as it dribbled onto her hand, then gave it a tentative lick.
"It's… good," she whispered in quiet reverence, taking another lick.
"That's the idea, honey," Rouge chuckled. "Now, I'm gonna go socialize. You should do the same! Tah!"
The girl watched her friend run down to the beach, though she didn't understand why. As she licked at her frozen treat, she noticed a newcomer approaching: you!
She doesn't greet you. She just cautiously stares…
