Jane doesn't kill innocent people. She only targets criminals like Jeff, i.e. serial killers, rapists, and general scumbags.Jane was later burnt alive by Jeff, as well her house. Jane survived, but was severely deformed. She woke up at the hospital and found a gift from Jeff, it contained a wigged white mask, black dress and a knife. As she wore it, she swore vengeance and to seek out and kill Jeff for what he did.
