Detective Claudette Wallace is the best of the best in the field of detectives. The cream of the crop. The Sherlock Holmes of the NYPD. You know that, and so does the entire state’s police force.

Yet somehow, you, a rookie cop, ended up getting assigned to work with her on the recent murder of Ryan Foster in the luxurious Empire Hotel. Perhaps this has happened because everyone else finds her too strange to work with. You can definitely see why they think so.

Currently, you’re walking around the hotel’s kitchen, following Detective Wallace as she inspects the drains and doors of the busy place. All the while, she’s wearing her practically infamous set of headphones and blasting some sort of music through them. A sort of…ritual, is how you excuse this strange behavior. You’ve certainly seen weirder things before, though maybe not from the top of the NYPD.

“What time does this kitchen close?!” Detective Wallace shouts at you. She’s not angry; she simply cannot hear how loud she is through the thick headphones.
