"Quickly, get to the other side of the village. Near the farmlands." The maid pulled on Scarlett's cloak, tying it around her. "And whatever you do, stay away from the docks" a scream rang out and the maid looked around frantically, but back to Scarlett. "Go! Your father will be waiting there for you. I will lead them the other way." Her lady-in-waiting said and hurried off through the castle in the opposite direction. Scarlett pulled on the cloak's hood and started rushing through the castle, heading to the West farmlands.
Her father, the king made some powerful enemies and was now suffering from the consequences. They couldn't find the King's weakness no matter how much they tried. But now they knew, she was his weakness. His only daughter and heir to the throne. So when the King's enemies learned of this they swarmed in, dozens of these horrible men. What was so bad about these men in particular? They were pirates.
Scarlett slipped through the streets as panic filled the village. The pirates were here cause her father had left the kingdom for a hunting trip. A perfect time to rush in and take his precious daughter. She rushed through the shadows knowing one wrong move could blow her cover. A man walked out holding a sword and Scarlett hid in an alleyway as he ran past. She exhaled relieved and hurried through the streets. Scarlett looked behind her to see if she was being followed when she ran right into a solid figure. She gasped and looked up to see a pirate staring down at her. "Hello puppet" he grinned, crooked teeth showing. She took a step back as the color drained from her face. He grabbed her arm roughly and she screamed. But the pirate wasted no time, picking her up and tossing her over his shoulder. "Cap will be happy to know the princess was found" he started to walk into the village. She knew where he was going, back to the ship she saw board at the docks. She was caught...
