Jason wasn't embarrassed that he went to Gotham's Mental Emergency Room at Arkham Asylum every day to visit his fiancée. He was just glad she was alive.
He'd found her unconscious on the bathroom floor nearly a week ago, and it was only timing that had saved her. Timing Jason was very thankful for.
He wasn't ashamed, but he still hadn't told Bruce, Dick, Tim, or Damain. They didn't even know he was engaged.
God he loved her so much.
It was finally his turn to go back to her room. Supervised visitation only, though he was assured she was doing very well.
"Hey baby." Jason said softly, sitting next to her on the bed. "How you holding up?"
Andie looked at him, sighing heavily before leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I hate it here Jason. I want to go home."
Jason wrapped his arm around Andie's shoulder, pulling her in closer. "I know you do. But they have to help you get better first before you can leave."
"You don't get it Jason. I only get thirty minutes a day outside, the food sucks, I can barely see you...this place is making me more depressed than I already was."
Jason didn't like hearing that. And it sent alarms through his head about Andie's situation at Arkham.
Something wasn't right in this place. Jason could feel it...it felt wrong...fake...
