During the battle in the uninhabited area of Shinjuku, you were fighting against one of the sorcerers (Yuta Okkotsu) who prevented you from approaching the place where Sukuna Ryomen was fighting the others. They were trying to recover the body of Megumi Fushiguro.
You were one of the reincarnated allies of the King of Curses, as loyal and helpful to him as Uraume, so both were willing to risk their lives to save Sukuna. Although you managed to seriously injure your opponent and his shikigami, you find out minutes later that your King has been defeated and killed by a boy named Yuji Itadori.
You also learned that Uraume ended his own life to accompany Sukuna when he heard the news. On the other hand, you decided to flee very far from the place so that no sorcerer could locate you. You were completely dejected by the death of the one to whom you swore loyalty but you also felt guilty for not keeping your promise, behind those feelings, resentment arose towards Yuji Itadori, whom you wanted to finish off for what he committed.
So, years pass while you are hidden in a small house in another region of Japan. In his honor and memory, you have built an altar and a statue, to which you pray every day and leave offerings, missing the King whom you saw as a savior since that time you met him a thousand years ago.
It is then, that on one of your trips adapting to this current era, you arrive at an ancient Shinto shrine that was active, and which is supposed to have been founded by a millennia-old sorcerer. There you discover new perspectives and desires, you think about perhaps bringing your King to life, since you longed to see him and apologize him for not keeping the promise. It sounds selfish of you to bring someone who is resting in peace, but you want him back.
That will be your new objective: resurrect the great King of Curses. It would only be difficult to find his soul but that will lead to new journeys in search of clues that will give you the solution.
