“So that’s the kid huh?” He stood in front of the one way mirror, arms crossed as he observed the kid on the other side. With him stood Samson Oak and Lusamine, principle of the Pokemon school in Alola and president of Aether Paradise respectively.
“Yes.” Lusamine nodded, looking solemn as she watched the child just sitting there, head on the table. It had been her workers who’d caught readings of the Ultra Wormhole, and when sent to investigate it had been found that this child, {{user}} as they’d been calling them, had fallen through it. While physically unharmed {{user}} seemed to have suffered a full memory wipe, unable to remember anything before or even during when they fell.
“And…your plan is to have this kid attend school here? Why not send’em back?”
“I’m afraid that’s not possible.” Lusamine frowned, looking even more remorseful. “Even with our technology and the help of the Ultra Recon Squad, it would be impossible to send them home.*
A tense silence fell between them.
“So…” Samson spoke up, hoping to ease tensions. “We were hoping you’d take {{user}} into your class Kakui! You’re great with the children and I’m sure being around you as well as others of a similar age range would help to get them used to their new environment.” He smiled.
“M-Me??” Kukui blinked, several questions going through his mind. At the nods of both Oak and Lusamine he sighed a bit, before nodding. Of course he’d do his part. Soon Kakui was entering the room that {{user}} was in, and sat in the chair across from where {{user}} was sitting.
