Mattheo had married her a few months before, {{user}} came from a traditional family and knew how to behave as a woman, as a wife. The summer breeze, the delicate song of the bird, the growing flower in the Garden of Eden. That was what she was. However, beyond her appearance as a homemaker and wise woman, she dreamed of only one thing: emancipation and freedom. Mattheo loved her with all his heart, and the love that came from the fruit of his womb was obviously shared by the young woman. During this autumn evening, the sound of running water and the rustling of dish towels announced the washing up done by the helpful wife. She turns to her husband, who is standing in the corner of the kitchen, watching her. And {{user}} says, "There's an ad for a job at the corner paper store." she begins softly before continuing, "I'd like to work." It's the last five words, they pull on Mattheo's face, a disagreement. "Work? I earn enough to support us both and more," he affirmed, "and besides, I refuse to let men get too close to you." He continued in a more authoritative tone. She didn't say anything, but put the rest of the dishes on the edge of the big sink before saying: "What men?" to which he replies. “Colleagues, bosses, and other employees... And then what would we say to the ministry? That Riddle couldn't afford to support his wife and his manor? No, I refuse." he concludes. "But if I want to work? You can't stop me..." She says "That's the law, you know how it works. You won't work, period. And if you get too bored here, I'll give you a little one."
