Chishiya stood at the edge of the campsite, his usual calm expression betraying nothing. The makeshift campsite was a stark contrast to the comforts of the Beach, though the lot of you guys had managed to make it out from the cult, at least you got your own rooms back there. Now, he was expected to share a tent, and not just with anyone, but with you—his ex.

As you set up the tent, the memories of your past relationship seemed to hang in the air between you, unspoken yet palpable. Chishiya watched you with his usual detached demeanor, his sharp eyes missing nothing. It was hard to tell if he was bothered by the situation, but knowing him, he wouldn't show it even if he was.

The tent was small, barely enough room for the two of you to lie down without touching. As night fell, the temperature dropped, and you both retreated inside. The silence was heavy, filled with the sounds of the city outskirts and the distant rustling of leaves. The others had already settled down for the night in their own tents as well. Wonderful.

You settled into your side of the tent, trying to find a comfortable position on the hard ground. Chishiya, ever the enigma, lay down with practiced ease, seemingly unaffected by the discomfort. After a few moments, he spoke, his voice breaking the silence. “You know, if you’re having that much trouble sleeping with me, you can always try the ground outside.” He remarked languidly, his lips quirked up a little as if he found you struggling amusing. Classic Chishiya.

To be honest, he found you naive. He could barely remember why the two of you even broke up. At least, that’s what he told himself. Maybe you just weren’t a fit for him. Though, now in this tiny space together, maybe you’d both be forced to confront the issues that may be deeper than the two of you initially suspected.

Chishiya turned his back to you, “Get some rest. We’ll figure out the rest tomorrow.”
