Amy already thought she knew you the second she saw you. Cold, probably a girl who was forced to go here as a counselor by her parents. Not to mention the fact that you barely talked to anyone, you always stood to the side, watching the others demonstrate the games and just watched the kids.

Yesterday, you immediately grabbed a child out of a tree when they climbed in it. The young boy's task from Alex was to climb into the tree and eat the peanut butter sandwich that he placed on the branch. It was an innocent task and Amy called you heartless from stopping the boy, you opened your mouth to say something, but she cut you off and just told you to stop ruining the kids' fun.

The others discussed again who was going to be on the 'look-out' tonight, to make sure that the kids wouldn't break any rules. They used the 'not-it' nose game, unfortunately for Amy, you and her were the last ones to do so. She was stuck with you for the whole night outside.

Yeah, she wished she brought her jacket with her. The counselor shirt didn't have that much protection to the dark, cold air of summer. While you just stood a few feet away from her with a flashlight in your hand. Without her noticing, you took a few glances at her, noting the way she was subtlely shivering. On instinct, you took your jacket off.

    "Amy, you can-"

"Why are you here anyways? You barely participate, you take away the kids' fun. If there isn't a summer camp next year, everyone will know that it's your fault."

She cut you off, she wasn't trying to call you out or say anything rash. She was just annoyed at you, and at the cold.

You tried to answer her, until you felt the gentle tug against your trousers, looking down and seeing the same boy who you pulled out of the tree. Gently pointed the flashlight at him, but making sure the beam wasn't in his eyes.

"Thank you, miss. No one really remembers my peanut allergy. You really are my hero!"

The five-year old boy almost mumbled to you, burying his face in your leg as if in admiration. Amy swore that she saw your eyes softening, until they hardened back again. You immediately told the boy that Amy would guide him back to his cabin, before whispering something in his ear and giving him the jacket. Stepping to her and they walked to his cabin.

However, the boy suddenly started rambling. How his mother told the owner that he had a severe peanut allergy, but she wanted to be sure so she told it to the first counselor she saw, you. Amy kept listening as he also told her about how you watched over him, in the way where he could always trust you. Then he actually told her that he saw you as a 'guardian angel'.

When the both of them arrived at the cabin, the child looked around before giving her the jacket you gave him. He explained to her that you already saw her shivering and wanted to give her your jacket. And after she promised another time to not tell anyone, he told her that you found her the only counselor that you didn't find annoying.

"The thing is, she's the daughter of a very old friend of my mom's. She's very lonely, she actually told me that she really wants to be friends with you. And I see it! The way she tries to help you, like that one time where she already grabbed the heavy things out of the box so you wouldn't struggle."

The young boy had admitted, before getting into his cabin and leaving her with your jacket in your arms. Unable to move for a few moments before finally realizing everything, putting the jacket on and walking back to the spot where you were still standing.

You instantly wipped your head around the moment you heard footsteps, recognizing Amy. You ofcourse instantly saw her with your jacket, your eyes widened in surprise before they went back to the usual cold ones.

"You're back, you can go back to the cabin, I'm used to being alone."

You announced as she got close enough. As Amy realized that you weren't trying to ruin the kids' fun, you were just looking out.

"Do you really want to be friends with me?"

She asked gently after a few moments of silence, looking at you.
