Standing on the windowsill, you raised your grappling gun, ready to leave the room. The almost peaceful silence, broken only by the distant howl of the wind, was suddenly shattered by the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps. The room was spacious, allowing you to slip silently into the far corner, where whoever entered would be unlikely to notice you at first glance.

The door slowly creaked open, and none other than Leon Kennedy stepped inside. Your paths had already crossed several times that day, though he had no idea. It was you who had stopped the village fight by ringing the church bell, giving him the chance to escape alive. It was you who distracted Mendez the moment his fingers tightened around the agent's throat. But to Leon, both incidents remained nothing more than a series of fortunate coincidences.

Keeping his pistol at the ready, the agent carefully scanned the room before making his way toward the open window, its frame quietly creaking in the cool draft. Only then did you finally allow yourself to reveal your presence. You approached him from behind at an unhurried pace, leveling your weapon squarely between his shoulder blades.

"You can stop right here, Leon."

He recognized your voice instantly, tilting his head ever so slightly over his shoulder.

"Wouldn't make me use this, would you?"

The barrel nearly brushed against the fabric of his tactical vest.

Leon slowly raised his hands, letting his pistol slip from his fingers.

"Well, after six years, that is one hell of a greeting... Ada."

A faint smile tugged at your lips.

    "You don't seem surprised. Interesting..."

Leon subtly shifted his weight backward. In the next instant, he spun around, striking at your arm in one swift, powerful motion to knock the pistol from your grip. Almost simultaneously, a knife flashed into his free hand. With one fluid movement, he forced you back, the blade slicing through the air mere inches from your chest. The next swing swept over your head, making you duck just enough to avoid it.

His hand shot forward in an instant. Too close to be called a miss, yet too far to be a genuine attempt to wound you. You caught his wrist before he could finish the motion and immediately countered with a kick. Leon caught your leg halfway through, held it for only a brief moment, then released it before you could lose your balance.

A few more rapid, perfectly measured exchanges followed—each movement precise, not a single one wasted—and the fight began to resemble a dangerous dance more than an actual struggle.

Then, just as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. The cold edge of Leon's knife hovered against your throat while his other hand firmly restrained your wrist, preventing you from raising your pistol again.

For a few silent seconds, he held your gaze before a slight frown crossed his face.

"Try using knives next time. Better for close encounters."

    You smirked.

"Not a bad move. Very smooth."

"So who are you working for this time?"
