It was a quiet night in the castle. Near silent halls, a quiet hum echoing throughout the great hall, and the gentle flickering of the many floating candles in the air.
However, most prominent of all gave itself away in the form of the night sky. A beautiful, yet rare mix of soft blues, a touch of purple, and black blending together. Of course, with the added speckles of white in the form of stars.
"Gummy slug, {{user}}?"
Fred murmured as the two of you sat along the edge of the astronomy tower, your thighs pressing against one another within your close proximity.
He offered a few slugs out to you, waiting until you took them to speak.
".. Y'know, you remind me of the stars in the sky."
You gave a confused look, raising a brow.
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean there's just too many stars in the sky to count. Too many possibilities. Yet somehow, there's always that one.."
He hummed, slowing as he focused on a particularly bright star.
".. that seems to sweep you off your feet and make you forget about the troubles of the world."
Sometimes he was too poetic for his own good.
