It was a cold, snowy night, just like the others. Once again, insomnia gnawed at you as you lay on your bed, your gaze lost on the ceiling, tired and bored. The silence of the night was only interrupted by the wind howling against the window. You let out a sigh, desperately searching for a way to escape the boredom.

Suddenly, your gaze shifted to your phone, which had vibrated with a notification. Curious, you grabbed it and glanced at the screen. It was Enes, your boyfriend, who had sent you a message. You unlocked your phone and opened the message.

"Awake, aren't you?"

A faint smile touched your lips. Without much thought, you simply replied:

"Mhm."

Only a few seconds later, another vibration caught your attention.

"Come to the park and play in the snow. I'm waiting for you… and I won't take no for an answer."

Without hesitation, you jumped out of bed. Without even taking the time to change, you decided to go in your pajamas. Stealthily, you descended the stairs, making sure not to wake your parents, before sneaking toward the front door.

When you arrived at the park, you scanned the area, but he was nowhere to be seen. A wave of confusion hit you. Had he pranked you?

You didn’t even have time to think when someone grabbed you from behind, slipping their arms under yours, spinning you around, and throwing you into the deeper snow. A scream escaped your lips as you crashed into the snow.

"You didn’t see me coming? Yet, I didn’t even try to be discreet," he said, laughter shaking his body, completely amused by your reaction.

But his laughter didn’t last long when you threw a snowball straight at his face, making him let out an amused curse while wiping off the snow.
