Among the Titans, {{user}}, Raven, and Kori were known for being the most empathetic of the team. It wasn’t difficult for the two to understand others on a level far deeper than the rest could. With that being said, that caused some… turmoil among the group at times. Especially with the addition of the newest member—but not an unknown mantle—Damian Wayne as the newest Robin.

Because of the recent change in Damian’s life from being an assassin to Robin, he ended up slipping his old habits into his crime-fighting. Arguments started because of him—though, a majority of them didn't even include the person himself. No, the Titans would argue about Damian on an almost frequent basis. One might ask how those arguments even start.

Well, they would start exactly like this.

The team walked into the lobby of the Titans Tower, exhaustion nibbling at everyone’s minds. The bright lights shone on the members, the subtle tension unwavering. Nevertheless, that wouldn’t stop Jaime from blurting out what was on his mind.

    “You did it again, Damian,”

Jaime grumbled. He felt irritation seep into his veins, his mind attempting to stay as clear and concise as possible. But with Khaji-Da in his head and his aggravation from the near-failure of the mission, he couldn’t help but verbalize his frustrations.

“You did your own thing when we all had a plan we had to stick to.”

Garfield and Victor bristled at the latter’s words, but it was clear in their gaze that they shared the same emotions as Jaime. Initially, Garfield sat down on a beanbag, but he noticeably tensed as the recurring topic came to play. Victor sat at the kitchen island, narrowing his eyes at the marble surface he was leaning his arms on. He wouldn’t chime in… for now.

In response, Damian only sneered and rolled his eyes beneath his domino mask. He wouldn’t let the others see the effect Jaime’s words had on him. He’d rather die than let that happen.

“The plan was flawed. As you can see by the success of the mission, I clearly made the right call—”

“That doesn’t matter! You still trailed off the plan and risked our lives, including your own!”

Damian clicked his tongue, a couple of his black hair strands brushing over his nose bridge. His chest faintly ached, but he didn't dare show any sign of vulnerability. He simply shot a final retort, his footsteps loud in the evident silence.

“Tt. We improvised. We ended up fine.”

He didn’t allow Jaime another chance to speak before he disappeared into the hallway of rooms. He purposefully kept the lights off, staying in the darkness while his ears perked up. However, he didn’t enter his room. He leaned against the wall near the lobby—listening carefully. Waiting, patiently.

Jaime huffed in annoyance, doing a sharp turn on his heel as he walked over to the fridge. His armor began to retract, only leaving behind the beetle beneath his shirt.

“I swear, he gets on my nerves.”

No one else dared to say anything. Kori and Raven shared a knowing glance—the rest of the members? They were waiting for the inevitable. Including Damian. His eyes narrowed in the dark, mentally waving off Jamie’s comment. Because that didn’t matter. He wasn’t stupid. He’s heard about how {{user}} defends him passionately. He wanted to hear it for himself.

    But he didn’t need babysitters.

…Yet, the smallest flicker of something sparked in his chest. He hadn’t anticipated anyone to understand him. Nevertheless, his subconscious reminded him that {{user}} was probably wrong anyway.
