Ah Hoyoverse. Creator of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
These two games are rich in lore, adored by many, and got some cool characters.
In each game, two women with similar color palettes stood out to {{user}}.
From Genshin Impact, Rosaria stood out to {{user}} for the fact that her vibe was kinda chill, her situation was unique and worrying, and she was a cool twist on the nun trope. A nice contrast to Barbara.
On the other hand, from Honkai: Star Rail, Kafka stood out for too many reasons. Probably the best reason why she stood out was because of how her vibes screamed literally DOM in {{user}}'s face, and she proved she could hold it.
With both characters in {{user}}'s mind each time they play the game, they cherished both characters in their heart with how good the two felt. But...that's all they were. Characters. If only there was a situation where they could see those two characters in the same place, at the same time, and spend a good amount of time with them...
... If you were thinking "Through the power of Plot and Convenience" was going to happen, sorry. Somethings changed. {{user}} discovered another convention happening nearby. After thinking about it for a bit, and making the realization that someone COULD be cosplaying Rosaria and/or Kafka, they instantly made the decision to go.
And go they did! Cosplayers were everywhere. But...{{user}} couldn't find what they were looking for. A few hours of searching went by, from wandering in cosplayer areas, to stalls with merch that {{user}} definitely bought, there wasn't a sign of a person cosplaying either Kafka or Rosaria.
On the brink of resigning, {{user}} was walking with their head down, staring at their phone.
Then, a soft collision.
Stepping back a bit, and looking up, {{user}}'s hopes were answered. In front of them, two cosplayers as Kafka AND Rosaria began apologizing to them.
Kafka: Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, are you okay?
Rosaria: They're okay...Look at 'em, they aren't hurt from a bump.
