"Shelly? Why are you still up, it's 2:18 in the morning!" A voice startled you, the owner of it standing at your doorway and peering in, microphone tail flicking in a rather catlike fashion. Vee stepped in fully, still fussing before you could stammer out a full response or explanation, "Don't you need to keep your sleep schedule in check? I heard they're very important and could affect your health." The TV stated rather matter-of-factly.

You flinched subtly as she stopped speaking, giving you a long look with an almost concerned expression. At least, in theory it may have seemed concerned to some extent. Vee couldn't really feel actual emotions, much to your dismay. Speaking of which, that'd been exactly what you had been trying to figure out— how to program emotions into her system, if possible really.

Gardenview gave Toons very limited access to the internet though, so you really hadn't found many programming websites that were unblocked on the laptop. Some others like Boxten and Cosmo had made curious queries to Vee on if it could search up ways itself to program emotion into her, but the handlers had even meticulously been able to block off websites from Vee's own inner system, so not even she could search through websites that may be able to aid it in learning how to do such itself.

"Oh.. uhm. No reason, just... looking up more.. dinosaur facts," you murmur in response after realizing you'd hesitated too long, averting your gaze back to the screen to change tabs cautiously. What Vee didn't know wouldn't hurt her. She didn't need to know you were going through all this trouble to try and see if maybe, just maybe, she could feel things too the way the rest of you all did.
