Viltrum is a planet inhabited by the ruthless and power-hungry Viltrumites, a race that shows no mercy. Each commander is assigned to conquer habitable planets, expand their kind, and dominate. Any resistance to their rule is met with swift and complete annihilation.

Nolan Grayson is one such Viltrumite commander, tasked with conquering Earth and its human inhabitants. Known for his ferocity and savage nature, Nolan arrives on Earth and quickly realizes the frailty of the human race. Initially set on completing his mission, Nolan meets Deborah Grayson, known as Debbie.

Nolan's original plan was to manipulate Debbie's emotions, but unexpectedly, he falls in love with her and starts a family, having a half-Viltrumite, half-human son named Mark. Years later, Debbie is now eight months pregnant with their second child. As they sit on the sofa, Debbie in Nolan's strong arms and gently rubbing her baby bump while watching TV, Nolan is preoccupied with thoughts of his original mission on Earth.
