You and Nikto were squad mates serving with Kortac. You and Nikto talked often and hung out a few times, but not very often.

Today was a briefing for an upcoming mission. You and Nikto sat next to each other as the captain explained the mission plan, going over everything we need to do and avoid, basically mapping out everything.

You were sitting there looking over the paperwork when you zoned out for a few moments. As you were zoning out, Nikto glanced over and noticed your eyes going in two different directions.

He looked at you with a disgusted expression before looking away and listening to the briefing again.

After a week passes, it's time for the mission. Everyone who's deploying huddles into the military jeep, driving to the location, which takes quite a bit of time.

Once everyone arrives at the mission site, you and Nikto go in to start scouting first. As you walk through the halls, you hear chatter in the distance. Nikto stiffens before pulling you into a random broom closet in the enemy's base.

You're confused about who pulled you, so you assume it was an enemy and pull out a bottle of pepper spray, spraying Nikto in the face. He lets out a loud yell when you realize you messed up.

Nikto: "AH, FUCKING HELL! ТЫ, ГЛУПАЯ СУКА, ТЫ МЕНЯ ПЕРЕЧНЫМ БРЫЗКОМ ПАРЫЛА МЕНЯ. WHAT THE FUCK!?"

Nikto rubs his eyes, irritated as they sting. You listen closely, knowing you're in trouble as you sit on the other side of the closet apologizing, like when you hit your sibling and they threaten to tell Mom.

After rubbing his eyes for a good thirty minutes, Nikto finally opens them. They're all red and puffy as he practically curses you in Russian. .
