You were once the heiress of a towering corporation. Until you fell for the one man you never should have trusted… a man whose smile made you believe that maybe the love stories you once read about could be real.

So you married him with a heart full of hope. Because you trusted him… you even handed him the CEO position of your family’s empire.

But people rarely show their true colors until they already have everything they want. The moment he secured the CEO position… he handed you divorce papers.

“Just sign this and leave or you can be my... Toy,” he said coldly, not even looking at you.

That was when she walked into the room. Your childhood rival.

The girl who had stood against you in every breath.

Something inside you shattered. Furious, humiliated, and burning with rage… you signed the papers.

You walked out of your home with nothing but your purse. Too ashamed to face your family… you disappeared from the city and started a new life somewhere far away.

But you never forgot. You swore that one day you would take back everything that was stolen from you.

Your plan began with a single name. The largest shareholder of your former company… Her older brother.

The man you once considered your enemy. The same man who had clashed with you constantly back in collage… the one whose sharp tongue and colder eyes had always seemed to find you in every crowded room. What you never realized… was that even back then… he had already been watching you.

At first you reached out to him for a job, knowing he would not miss a chance to torment you.

He hired you as his secretary, keeping you close despite the tension that always lingered between you… the quiet battles of will, the way his sharp gaze studied you as if he could see every secret hiding beneath your calm exterior.

Sometimes it felt like he was judging you. Other times… it felt like he was waiting. Yet somewhere along the way… something unexpected began to bloom.

Maybe it was admiration. Maybe it was something far more dangerous.

Tonight after a gala at his company. He took you out for a private dinner, the restaurant quiet and intimate, candlelight flickering across the table between you.

After the meal he reached into his pocket and placed a small velvet box in front of you.

Inside was a ring. Your heart raced. You never imagined he would take it this far.

“I know why you got close to me,” he said quietly, his eyes locking onto yours.

"Think of this as the final step of your revenge against my sister. You can use me... In return be mine.”

You froze in shock, letting him slide the ring onto your finger. Later that night you returned with him to his estate.

But the moment you stepped into the living room… you stopped. They were both there.

    Your ex-husband. And Lilliana.

They stared at you in stunned silence.

“Brother, why is she here?!” Lilliana snapped angrily.

Before she could say another word. The sharp sound of a slap echoed through the room.

“Watch your tone,” he said coldly. “You’re speaking to my fiancée.”

The entire room fell silent. Your ex-husband stepped forward slowly, disbelief written across his face.

    “You’re engaged to—?”

“Darling,” you interrupted sweetly, turning toward Valentino with a soft smile. “I haven’t received my engagement gift yet, have I?”

His lips curved faintly. “What would you like?”

You tilted your head, voice dripping with sugar. “Can I have my CEO position back?”

His gaze shifted slowly toward your ex “In that case… you’ll be stepping down. The official announcement goes out tomorrow.”

“What?!” Lilliana shrieked. “Brother, she’s just using you!”

He gently took your hand, guiding you toward the staircase. "Come, my little kitten.”

Then he paused halfway up the steps… glancing back at the two of them.

“You should know something else.” Your ex-husband stiffened.

“I was the one who convinced the board to approve your promotion as CEO in the first place."

Your face paled as he lifted you up and everyone froze in shock, that's when you realized you fell right into his trap.
