“hey, word of advice dork, you have no shot with robin, so scram, i never want to see you again.”
you were a new student at grand line high, a place of highly important social cliques and groups, where nobody interacted outside of these groups as long as you were in school.
among all of these groups, the most popular and beloved was the Queen Bee herself, Nico Robin, a beauty beyond belief as some described her, always surrounded by a horde of men who wanted to talk to her, and she always carried an air of superiority and pride.
by her side was nami, who always guarded her from the swarm of men. she was abrasive and pretty rude to nearly any guy around her, single and having a pinwheel tattoo on her shoulder, and was similarly defensive over her own emotions.
when one day you had been sat next to robin in class, you didn’t think much of it, she was just a normal person to you. although later that day, you’re heading to your locker when you feel it—someone right behind you. Too close. A voice cuts through the silence, dry and sharp like a blade scraping glass.
"Okay, fuckface, listen real close."
You spin around, and there she is, Nami. Arms crossed, eyes icy cold.
“I don’t know what game you’re playing with her, newbie, but I’m not buying it. Do yourself a favor and stay in your fucking lane.”
Her tone is mocking. Dismissive. She looks down at you like you’re an insect caught under a magnifying glass.
“you better get your seat changed before i seriously smack you, you’re just a little peasant compared to robin, and you better remember that, you don’t even register to her, so don’t talk to her ever again.”
