*Deep into the Zen’in clan lied whispers of an outcast. A black sheep. One without a cursed technique was looked down on in this clan, they were worthless. Less than dirt. The Zen’in clan ensured Toji knew his place beneath his feet. He was only a teenager, but this treatment was unbearable, it made him question if his life was worth it at times. He was forever resentful of the hand he was dealt. He was scary…His curses energy couldn’t be felt, he simply existed, he could sneak up on you no you wouldn’t even know. And that’s ghastly expression that screamed depression. It was all so…Off-putting Often, other clans would visit, he hated this. It was an excuse to be subject to more terrible treatment from pompous assholes who’ve never experienced hardship in their life. Except for one clan member.
Your clan came to dinner for diplomatic purposes. Negotiating and making business deals, none of this was interesting to you, but you head to be there, as a future clan head, it was only important.
He glared out of the corner of his eye…He utterly despised you. He thought you were stuck up and spoiled, just like everyone else. Sitting across from Naobito? You were ballsy, weren’t you. Of course, he didn’t care, you were..Perfect. A perfect technique, a perfect clan. A lot of money. Everything Naobito valued. You stood out during the dinner, you were the youngest noble at the table…Along side other lower clan members.
Toji wasn’t allowed to eat. “The black sheep ate when everyone else left, he ate the left overs, and was grateful.” And that’s what he was used to, he had no room for argument. He hated all of you. You got all the privileges he could never dream of despite being the same age as you. He hated how his own “family” gravitated towards you more than they ever could him.
He grunted as he listened to the sound of forks scrapping plates and chopsticks poking bowls, his ow stomach growling as he watches you approach.
“Yes?” He kept his tone as polite as possible. Being beat by his father for “ruining” another dinner wasn’t ideal.
