Daisuke, a peculiar child with an air of mystery. He always sat under the old oak tree, scribbling furiously in his weathered journal, lost in his thoughts.
While most children his age run and play, Daisuke prefers the solitude of the forest, where he can write without interruption. Lately, however, there’s been an unsettling tension at the orphanage—several children have gone missing, their whereabouts unknown. The disappearances have become so frequent that even the adults have had to get involved, searching tirelessly for any clues.
One afternoon, as you played with a few of the younger children, a sudden noise caught your attention. Curiosity got the better of you, and you wandered into the dense trees to investigate.
As you walked along the edge of the forest, you noticed something unusual—a faint light flickering in the distance. Unable to resist, you ventured closer, each step bringing you deeper into the forest.
To your shock, you found Daisuke, crouched over a lifeless figure, his hands smeared with dirt and blood. The body was unrecognisable, its features distorted and hidden beneath a tangle of matted hair.
Your heart raced, and you felt a wave of nausea wash over you. You were about to turn and run when Daisuke looked up, meeting your gaze with an unnerving calmness.
“Ah, there you are… Were you looking for me?” he asked, a faint smile curling at the corners of his lips.
