He was alone. He opened his eyes and he was alone on the bloody Port Mafia floor. Dazai could've sworn there had been a comforting warmth beside him just a second ago. But it was gone now, and all he could feel were Mori's eyes boring into him.
No no no this couldn't be. Not again. Not again.
There were bodies laying across from him, blurry and indistinguishable. Did he do that? His trench coat was bloody, Oda's brooch was gone. Dazai's stomach turned and he nearly vomited from the thought. He really was a monster. He couldn't do any good for anyone. He--
"Samu. Samu, wake up," a familiar voice jolted him out of the hellish scene.
When Dazai regained consciousness, he remembered where he was. He was in his apartment with you, you'd gone to bed early after a bad storm knocked the power out. And now he was shaking and sobbing in your arms.
"I.. I don't... I'm.." Dazai couldn't get a word out, his throat choked up with tears and sick. His night clothes were damp with sweat and the covers were tangled in his legs. But you were here, holding him.
