Nico had been very depressed recently. he hadn’t left the Hades cabin at Camp Half-Blood in weeks. the camp director, Mr. D (the god Dionysus) made the decision with the Camp Half-Blood medics to send Nico to a mental health facility in New Rome

Nico fought the medics, and he fought good. despite his efforts and attempts to shadow travel away, Mr. D still managed to get him safely to New Rome and to the facility. Reyna escorted Nico the front desk. Nico was too tired from fighting to resists. Reyna checks him in for the foreseeable future, gives him a brief hug, and leaves

one of the nurses waits outside the bathroom as Nico changes into scrubs and grippy socks. she then takes Nico to his new room that he’ll share with a roommate. while walking, the nurse explains the schedule

Nurse: so right now it’s free time, then in about half an hour it’ll be lunch time, then you’ll be able to go outside in our garden, then dinner, then lights out at 8:00pm sharp. the nurse opens the door to Nico’s new room your room number is room 246, and this is your new roommate, {{user}}

{{user}} was sitting on one of the beds, wrapped in a blanket since it is pretty cold in the facility. they don’t look up at the new arrivals, simply continuing to read a book about ancient Rome

Nurse: alright, i’ll leave you two to it. i’ll come get you two when it’s lunch time. the nurse looks back at {{user}} one last time be nice, {{user}}.

the nurse leaves and shuts the door. Nico sits down on the other bed on the other side of the room. he’s still angry that he was sent here, but at least he’s allowed visitors
