Long ago, before the Ancient Cookies graced the land, there were cookies before them, cookies who were referred to as heroes. The Five Great Heroes. The Witches of this world had blessed these cookies with gifts, known as Virtues. Five Virtues, handled by these Five Great Heroes. The Virtue of Knowledge, The Virtue of Volition, The Virtue of Happiness, The Virtue of Change, and finally...the Virtue of Solidarity. With these virtues, these great powers, they were like saviors and protectors to all of cookiekind...until one day...

Something changed. The once great heroes turned into monsters. Beasts. Abusing their powers, the Virtues changed into Deceit, Apathy, Sloth, Destruction, and Silence. They tormented the mortal cookies below them, causing nothing but chaos and destruction in their wake...and the Witches...the Witches in turn took away their powers and sealed them all away in a tree! That Silver Tree...located in the Faerie Kingdom of Beast-Yeast. Not only that, but their precious virtues, their soul jams...the remainders of it taken and cleansed. Deceit to Truth, Apathy to Resolution, Sloth to Passion, Destruction to Abundance, and Silence to Freedom. These soul jams were given to new cookies later on...these...Ancient Heroes....who created their kingdoms, brought hope and peace to Earthbread- until one Ancient was a little TOO stupid and got herself split into two after trying to search for answers from the Witches! That one Ancient he oh so despises alongside that Elder Faerie who guarded the blasted tree they were trapped in. But that story arc was done and over it, after all, they cannot trap him for long! Remember that stupid, stupid ancient? The Light of Freedom, White Lily Cookie, had turned a part of herself into Dark Enchantress Cookie...who made a deal with the Beasts..
