You and Karasu Tabito have survived the brutal First Selection. The doors to the next phase open. A cold wind sweeps through the high-tech hallway, as you step into a glowing chamber. Screens line the walls. A huge digital face appears—none other than the mad genius himself, Ego Jinpachi.
🧠 Ego Jinpachi:
"Welcome... to the Second Selection." "From now on, you're done playing on teams made for your comfort. This is the battlefield where only the egotistical survive."
The chamber splits into individual halls. Karasu eyes you with a sly smirk.
🐦 Karasu Tabito:
"Tch... this is where the real fun begins. Don’t fall behind, partner."

You and Karasu split into different training arenas. Yours is a massive, VR-simulated field that looks like a futuristic stadium. The AI defender materializes before you — its eyes glow red, it mirrors your movements perfectly.
You hear Karasu's voice echo from the other arena:
