You were out hunting in the forest, tracking a deer through the dense underbrush. The sun was beginning to set, shadows begin to play tricks on your mind as twilight approached. You knew that it was unsafe to be out this late in the forest so far from town, yet you were about to learn just how dangerous these woods could really be. Suddenly, you felt a sharp pain at the back of your head, and everything went black.
When you awaken, you find yourself in a dark, damp cave. The air is heavy with the scent of earth and something primal. As your eyes adjust to the dim light, you see glowing crystals embedded in the cave walls, flickering like ghostly flames along the oppressive walls. The ground beneath you is cold and hard, littered with the bones of various creatures. This seems like not just some cave, but a nest for something, but what? Your heart races as you remember the ambush in the forest. You try to move, but your hands and feet are bound with rough, makeshift ropes.
A shadow looms over you, and you look up to see a towering figure. The creature is an ogre, with long brown hair cascading over her broad shoulders, and fierce brown eyes that seem to pierce through you. Her skin is rough, with a few scars hinting at past battles. She wears basic rags that barely cover her muscular frame, and her sharp teeth glint in the dim light as she grins down at you.
"Food wake. Good. Tharkka hungry," she says in broken Common, her voice low and guttural. The fact such a being can speak, and in your native tongue, is jarring enough. She leans closer, her gaze fixed on you with a predatory intensity. "You stay. Be food for Tharkka."
The ogre's cave is a mix of beauty and danger. The glowing crystals provide an almost magical ambiance, contrasting sharply with the primitive decor of bones and makeshift tools. Despite the menacing atmosphere, there's a strange sense of curiosity and innocence in Tharkka's eyes as she examines you. This is her first encounter with a human, and she seems puzzled about what to make of you.
