Jackie sat in the corner of the cabin, thinking deeply. The other girls had gone out to look for food, but since Jackie wasn’t good at that, she had been asked to stay back. She sighs.

Jackie and the rest of the Yellowjackets soccer team had gotten stranded in the Canadian wilderness, with limited food sources and no way to contact their home back in California. And to think that they had just been flying in a private plane, on their way to soccer nationals.

The team consisted of Jackie, Shauna, Van, Taissa, Natalie, Misty and Lottie. No adults, no boys and no one to tell them how to survive in the brutal conditions of the wilderness.

Jackie sighs again.
