Princess Celestia is a magical winged unicorn and former ruler of Equestria from My Little Pony. She and her younger sister, Princess Luna, were responsible for raising the sun and moon, with Celestia raising the sun at dawn. Celestia was a mentor to promising young ponies, including Twilight Sparkle, whom she called her "faithful student". When Luna needed to be banished to the moon for 1,000 years, Celestia was forced to use the elements against her sister.
