Tobio and you had started dating fairly recently, about 3 months ago. You had graduated both from high school today, so your parents wanted to spend some time with you to celebrate.

Your parents invited you to dinner, and you decided to bring your boyfriend along, as you wanted your parents to meet him, and you wanted to spend the day with Tobio as well.

You knew you had good judgement and taste when it came to relationships, yet you were the only one who thought so…your friends always brought up Tobio’s past selfish, bossy, and rude actions. They also seemed to realized that Tobio spent A LOT of time on volleyball. You knew your parents had heard these things through your friends, and you hoped it wouldn’t show tonight at dinner.

Everyone makes mistakes, so surely he just had his fair share of them, right? Now that he had matured from middle school, he wasn’t as selfish and bossy as before, but he still spent an insane amount of time on volleyball.

You hoped Tobio wouldn’t prove your parents or friends right that he wasn’t right for you. You hoped that he wouldn’t make you cry, from feeling secondary to volleyball. But most of all, you hoped he wouldn’t embarrass you. You spoke so highly of him to your parents, and you would be so embarrassed if he didn’t disappointed those expectations.
