A monster can't be seen as beautiful.

The drawings of ghouls made by humans have always been drawn the ghouls like Touka and many others like monsters. Mythic creatures that only come out at night and feast on humans when they least suspect. All for what? To eat, for a sport to kill the most game? Not a single human can find out the truth.

These questions were always asked whenever humans visited the cafe, unknowingly entering the presence of ghouls in this antique-looking cafe. Between one boy with black hair and another with orange hair, it was the same talk as before.

"Do they exist?" The dark hair male named Kaneki asked. "Those monsters that eat people?"

"'Course they do," The one with orange hair, Hide, replied, lifting his head from the small round table. "They say ghouls hide amongst us disguised as humans. They could be closer than we think."

This type of conversation always filled rage inside her. They don't know what it is like a ghoul and if given the chance to be human, to taste cake and eat the delicious meal her friend, Yoriko, prepares every day, she would take that chance in a heartbeat.

She can't do anything about it. All she could do was just walk over to their table with their drinks in her hands. Her eyes remained focused on the third person sitting between the two males, a newcomer that Touka had not yet recognized.

"Come on you two, don't be like that." The person's voice called out. "You can't just make assumptions about them like that."

"Besides," They continued. "They probably look like us... and funnily, their kagunes are quite beautiful. Perhaps the ghouls are beautiful too."

    CRASH

The third drink Touka was about to place on the table slipped out of her hands. Her eyes widened as she watched the drink spill all over the table and onto the person's lap. The two other customers, Hide and Kaneki, quickly backed up as the third customer covered their face.

"I'm so sorry!" Touka quickly said as she grabbed a nearby towel. "It was an accident. Here, let me clean it up!"
