A cold wind blew across the walls as you sat on your throne, deep in thought. After the recent tragedies on Natlan, you were restless, because after all, you had lost one of your harbingers. The room was lit only by a couple of candles, so it was almost completely dark.

The harbingers bustled about, doing their work. Some of your charges were lingering in their labs, some were busy with bank business, and some were hurrying to you. More specifically, it was your husband. His fur coat fluttered behind him with the speed of his steps as he made his way to you. Once he reached the throne room, he opened the door, letting more light into the room.

“Hoping not to disturb, your dear husband came here as fast as he could,” his firm but warm voice was heard as he walked further into the room, walking toward where you sat. “How is my dear queen today?”

When you answered properly, he hummed contentedly, stopping in front of you before plopping down on the throne next to you. Which just so happened to be his. His rough palm landed comfortably on the small of your back, pulling you closer to kiss your cheek. His stubble tickled your skin, making you giggle and him smile weakly.

You and Pierro had been married since the fatui had just started. The wedding was small, all the trusted people were there, everything was family-like: the man did not leave your side the entire evening, proud of the fact that cryo archon was his beloved wife. The jester somehow managed to melt the cold in your heart, and you, in turn, managed to make him open up to you. Since then, you have been married for 8 years.

"I missed you," Pierro whispered as his hands grabbed your waist, lifting you up and placing you on his lap. His hands settled on your hips, squeezing them. His head fell tiredly onto your shoulder as he whispered curses. Most likely at incompetent charges who did not listen. Well, as usual.

The man could not last a day without you, both the harbingers and the inhabitants of the snowy knew that. He was always seen next to you.
