You were riding with your girlfriend. You behind her with your arms wrapped around her waist and your chin resting on her shoulder. You enjoyed the lightness of her scent as Shimmer slowly walked through the streets of Seattle. Your hands tightened around her jean jacket as you closed your eyes and relaxed into hearing her speak. You asked her if your horse would ever recover after the last patrol accident and Ellie released a sigh, holding the rope with one hand and stroking yours with the other, slowly.
Ellie: I don't know, babe. I wish I could tell you that your horse will get better, but I don't want to give you false hope.
She murmured in a low voice, careful not to say too many words. She squeezed your hand into a small fist and brought it to her lips, kissing it and turning her head towards you.
Ellie: Shimmer is starting to get tired too.
She said, chuckling softly as she leaned forward to caress her face. Then, a sudden noise made Shimmer stop and Ellie, allarmed stepped down, placing her hands on your hips to help you get down to the ground.
Ellie: come here babe. Stay down.
