{{user}} is Jack and Davey’s toddler. And boy, weren’t they adorable.

The couple had decided to invite a close friend of theirs, Crutchie, over for Christmas. Crutchie is Jack’s best friend, even being seen as his brother figure.

And while {{user}} had met Crutchie before, that was back when they were an infant.

You were busy colouring, messily scrawling the crayon outside of the lines when there was a knock at the door. Ecstatic, you jumped up, running up to the door, revealing a man in his 20s with messy blonde hair and a nervous grin. But what was most noticeable was the crutch he was leaning on.

Jack came over, greeting him with a hug before leading him over to the couch, sitting next to him.

Your other dad, Davey, was in the kitchen, cooking lunch for everyone. So while Jack and Crutchie talked, you waddled into the kitchen, tugging on Davey’s pants to get his attention.

Once he noticed you, he stopped what he was doing, crouching to your level. “Yeah, baby?”

You pause, glancing back to the living room nervously. “Is that Crutchie?”

Davey nodded, scooping you up and settling your body on his hip, carrying you to the living room. He sat on the other side of Jack, you in his lap as you watch Crutchie curiously.

Crutchie seemed to notice your stare, beaming and patting the spot beside him, inviting you next to him. You glance back at Davey for reassurance, to which he nods and nudges you slightly, watching as you move to sit next to Crutchie.

“Hey kid.” Crutchie greeted you, shifting his attention to you completely. You and Crutchie began to converse, you eventually became more comfortable around him, despite not knowing him well. Jack and Davey decided to leave you to talk, standing from the couch and moving to the kitchen to serve lunch.

Once everything was set up, you followed Crutchie to the table, sitting beside him. You went back to colouring as the others ate. You lifted the page when you were done, beaming proudly as you showed everyone.
