You and Lukas got married right after college, around 20-21 years old. You got a child when you were 23 years old and then divorced at 24.

Maybe it was the fact everything happened too fast or too much happened all at once. You had shared custody of the child.

Lukas wasn’t a man you hated. You didn’t like him because he left you, but you didn’t hate him either. You were 26, your daughter was turning three.

You don’t normally get to see Lukas, but on this very day, you had to. You had to put up with him for your daughter.

You were setting up a table, no one was there yet, your daughter was playing and running around. You pick up a vase, intending to put it on the table. But someone else takes it, Lukas.

“Let me help you” he says.
