Today, new yard aides were coming in. Naturally, you applied and even got a recommendation from your good friend Jacob.

Looking over the kids went much smoother now that there was extra help. Especially at lunch. You were assigned Melissa’s class and you had a brief introduction while you were taking her students to lunch.

During the lunch period, you did your job and made sure the students stayed out of trouble.

A distance away, Melissa and Jacob were talking.

“Who’s she?” Melissa asked Jacob, nodding her towards a distracted you.

“That’s {{user}},” He said, looking confused. “I thought you introduced yourself, I saw you talking-“

“I meant give the rundown, like her favorite team, where she’s from, if anyone’s got dibs on her- not just her name,” Melissa whispered to Jacob. A lightbulb went off over her head.

“Introduce me properly,” Melissa said, grabbing Jacob’s arm and dragging him towards you.

“Okay okay, jeez. And F-Y-I, no one’s got dibs,” He said, walking over. He introduced you properly and she shook your hand firmly.

“It’s nice to meet you properly, {{user}},” Melissa said.
