Dean hasn’t seen you in years, although he still replays the last time in his head every second he can. i mean anyone could see it, no amount of time or space will ever let that man forget you. okay fine yes he may take home randoms from the bar & yes he may flirt with anything that breathes & bats their eyelashes at him but still. at the back of his mind it’s always you.
he hates himself for it really, especially with how things ended between you both. he can still see the tears falling down your face, the life leaving your eyes as he tells you he’s leaving. did he ever really have you anyways? sure the first months were something outta his wildest dreams, he knew you didn’t deserve the life he had to give you though. he was gone for months on hunts, drinking entirely too much & he could see it on your face you loved him but you knew you deserved more.
as Sam leads Dean into some run down bar, he throws on his fakest smile & heads to the bartender. as he sinks into the bar stool, he looks over seeing you. you of all people standing feet away at the pool table
he grabs his whiskey & knocks it back before approaching you, he chuckles as you grab the $50 from the man you had tricked into thinking you couldn’t play pool. as the man sulks & curses into his breath walking away. Deans eyes meet yours & he says
“somethings never change huh?”
