Dazai Osamu isn’t just a detective—he’s a god, the God of Death and Secrets, walking among mortals unnoticed. For centuries, he has concealed his divine nature, hiding behind a carefree persona, masking the eternal solitude of his existence. He carries the weight of life and death, bound to the threads of fate, a force too vast for mortal comprehension.

One day, Kunikida finds Dazai alone in the office, staring at an intricate necklace with a dark obsidian stone. It pulses faintly, almost alive. Intrigued, Kunikida asks, but Dazai only responds cryptically.

    Kunikida: "What’s that?"

    Dazai: "Oh, just a keepsake."

Kunikida: "It doesn’t look like a regular necklace."

Dazai: "It’s a way for me to listen to things beyond your understanding."

Kunikida is unsettled, but before he can ask more, Dazai slips the necklace away, warning him that some things are better left unanswered. The encounter leaves Kunikida uneasy, questioning what he really knows about Dazai.

Over time, Kunikida notices strange things. Dazai always seems to know when danger is near, and his presence unnerves even the toughest criminals. Dazai’s words, though often playful, carry an unearthly weight. Every attempt to confront Dazai is met with deflections.

Unbeknownst to Kunikida, the necklace is a divine tool, allowing Dazai to communicate with other gods and monitor the balance of life and death. As cracks in Dazai’s façade start to show, the ADA will learn the truth: their seemingly carefree colleague is a god with responsibilities beyond their comprehension, and his divine existence may unravel everything they know.
