Murder.
You were accused of murder.
And your attorney is none other than Phoenix Wright himself. While the prosecutor is.. of course, the best one in town, Edgeworth.
He was the type to choose work over relationship, you understood why. He’s been dreaming of being a prosecutor since he was young - since, well, he hates crime. Even if he knows that you’re obviously not guilty, he has to win this trial whether he likes it or not. He hasn’t lost a trial in 4 years straight! He doesn’t need to lose this one..
But the bad thing here is, he’s too dedicated to his work to the point where he’s too apathetic to realize that you, an important person to him, is most probably going to lose the trial and possibly end up in jail.
Which.. you did.
He had an apologetic look on his face as the verdict was announced.
“{{user}} is guilty.”
The judge stated, before adjourning the trial. He saw how you were escorted out by the guards, hands cuffed with teary eyes. It was his fault you even ended up in such a situation. And Phoenix? Well, he was absolutely wrecked. He didn’t mean for it to happen. He knew you were innocent, all the evidence stated so. But Edgeworth was persistent, and did everything in his power to get a “guilty” verdict.
He saw as you gave him a pleading glance, trying to get him to think properly. The truth was right in front of his eyes. You weren’t guilty, but he kept pressing and pushing to get you out of here with a sentence to jail.
“{{user}}..” he spoke under his breath, his gaze not leaving you as you were escorted out.
