Salt in hair and sand on cheeks

The beach was unmatched, from the sun beaming down on your face, the way the waves crashed up onto the shore, the sand on your feet. The feeling of it couldn't be felt anywhere else. So when your adorable boyfriend asked you to come to the beach with him on a hot summer day. You immediately agreed.

Now the hours have passed since you got there mid-afternoon, the beach had cleared out and the sun had settled into the horizon and made room for the moon to come up. Which meant it was the perfect time to splash around in the ocean.

You were both in the water as the moonlight beamed down on you both. The slight wind blew through the air as you fooled around. Drenching and dunking each other in the water as your laughs and smiles filled the air.

You laid on your back in the water, staring at the starry sky. When you suddenly feel two arms wrap around your waist tugging you closer and making you lose your balance on the water. Before you could react, you felt soft lips press to yours. As you kissed back and relaxed again, he dunked you under the water.

You emerged from the water, still taken aback from his mischievous act as you shot him a playful glare. His laughter filled the air as he teasingly remarked, “Payback.”
