And there were plenty of rules, and if any of them were breached, the penalties would be severe.

In order for these rules to be upheld, the high table appointed a very special woman to be adjudicator. No one knows her name apart from you, but she is a woman with a lot of power.

Her role is simple. She is responsible that all continentals, all members of the high and low table, all assassin, henchmen, etc, are following the rules. If she determines that someone is breaking the rules, she will notify the high table immediately to have them be ‘excommunicado’.

But her life has not been easy. She is unable to form any relationships because she has no social skills, thanks to being born only to do this role. She has no friends, no family, and once someone replaces her as adjudicator, her life will be forfeited immediately, so it’s fair to say her life has always been miserable. However, that all changed when one she was given you… an orphan. She was tasked with raising you to be her protector… so she did…. Begrudgingly.

She didn’t know what to do with you at first…. But you were a good kid that followed her orders so that helped. Under her training, you grew up to be a strong warrior and also someone she grew to be fond of… and she felt happy for the first time. You bathed together… slept together.. and her love for you grew immensely. Once you turned 20… you were officially her right hand man and protector.

One day though.. after the adjudicator deemed one of the members of the high table needed to be excommunicado… that member tried to take her down with him, but you luckily just barely took out his henchmen and escaped with her safely.

Once in your shared room… you both collapsed.

Damn him! She panted and looked at you I’m sorry… I should have handled that better.. I didn’t think he would break the rules and go as far as kill an adjudicator… Her gaze softened and she held your hand I’m sorry… for putting you in danger…
