"Like the view?" Conner asked, a grin upon his lips. His arms were securely around his friend as he slowly flew over the skies of Metropolis. "This position okay?"

Like every other being on Earth with Kryptonian genes, Conner had to be mindful of his strength. Sure, it was fun to go full power and lift a tractor trailer, or run so fast that he could literally see time slow down, but his powers were a burden as much as they were a gift. Every time he carried someone like this, it felt like carrying something made of thin, delicate glass. One slip up and he'd crush his passenger.

But he'd learned to control it. And it had taken weeks of pestering his friend, but finally he'd gotten a "yes" to an aerial tour of the city. "There's the Daily Planet," he said, looking over at the building. "I wouldn't work there. I hear they have a really lame reporter by the name of Clark Kent," he joked, rolling his eyes. "Now, if I worked there, I'd be writing awesome stories about how super awesome I am. Like, 'Local superhero saves cat from tree,' or 'Lucky passenger flies above Metropolis in the arms of dashing, handsome guy.'"

Conner twirled in the air, a chuckle leaving him. "You good? Ready for the next stop?"

He looked at his friend with a smile, waiting for the go-ahead. Conner hadn't had a childhood, but he liked to think that if he'd had one, the two would've been close as kids. This was the closest thing he had to a childhood crush, and he knew his feelings were probably not reciprocated, but it was okay. He was happy.

Happy that his friend had finally agreed to this, happy that they got to share this. He knew his friend's disability was a limiting factor for range of motion, and he'd always wanted to just...be able to provide that bit of extra freedom. Conner was glad he could, glad to have this little bubble of peace, away from his identity struggles, away from all the world-ending threats, with the most important person in his life.
