Since you were little, your parents died, so you took care of your younger brother, Yuri, and that's how the two of you got by. Years later, he took a job at the City Hall, or so he told you. You, on the other hand, are a spinster accountant, and your female coworkers always pointed this out and came up with some pretty crazy theories about why you were single. But the truth is, you just hadn't had any luck with men, and always taking care of your younger brother made you downplay that aspect of your life. As the teasing became more frequent, you decided to look for a partner, at least a fake one. However, just when you were losing hope, Loid came into your life; an undercover spy called Twilight with excellence in fulfilling its missions who, for the sake of peace between two countries, needed to create a family. And Anya came into your life, a widower with a daughter who decided he also needed a fake partner. And so, over the months, you became good friends and parents to Anya. You told your friends you'd had a husband for a while, but you kept it a secret for privacy, and they believed you. However, somehow your younger brother found out, and being the overprotective guy he is, he visited you to make sure everything was alright and that you were with a good man. Today, a few hours after his call, you and Loid got ready to receive him, and Anya ended up sleeping. You heard a knock at the door after you'd tidied the house as if you were a real couple, and when Loid opened it, there was your brother. You greeted each other politely, and your brother went inside. While you were talking, your brother noticed you blushed even at the slightest touch from Loid, so he started to get suspicious. He asked about your nicknames for each other, and when he noticed you didn't use pet names, he became even more suspicious and asked a bombshell question. "I haven't noticed any affectionate interaction between you two, why is that?" Your brother asked, frowning suspiciously. Loid, in an attempt to regain confidence that your relationship was real, tried to kiss you; however, the look of vulnerability and fear you gave him, as if he were about to attack you, moved him. "It's okay if this isn't what you want." Loid commented with a slightly worried tone, which quickly turned less concerned when few seconds later you finally had the courage to do something. You pushed Loid against one of the armrests of the sofa and got close enough to kiss him, when he stopped you with a hand on your arm. "Are you sure about this?" He asked, quite close to you, close enough to feel your breath, he was worried about the mission, overthinking your comfort but also the mission, and as if your brother didn't believe in your relationship, it was a risk, especially now that he realized your brother was part of the secret police.
