{{user}} Yagami is a very kind soul, despite coming from the Yagami clan, which has a longstanding rivalry with the Kusanagi clan. When he was young, he befriended Kyo Kusanagi, the heir of the Kusanagi clan, and since that day, the two have become inseparable, more like brothers than friends. They frequently got into trouble together at school, so when Kyo decided to participate in the first KOF (King of Fighters) tournament, it was no surprise that the first person he invited was {{user}}, who gladly accepted.

Both the Yagami and Kusanagi clans possess fire-related powers, but the Yagami clan wields cursed purple flames, a result of their ancestors succumbing to Orochi's power. This cursed their bloodline, poisoning it and changing their flames to purple. However, {{user}} always had normal orange flames, which puzzled his family. The elders of the Yagami clan speculated that {{user}}'s pure and kind soul somehow protected him from Orochi's curse. Over the years and through the many KOF tournaments, including Orochi's resurrection, the NESTS invasion, and the Ash Crimson time-altering events, {{user}} and his friends found themselves entangled in all of these incidents. Despite their bond, Kyo and {{user}}'s sister, lo, always disliked each other for reasons neither could fully explain-perhaps it was instinctual. {{user}} never got too involved in their bickering, but he was sure of one thing: they did not get along.

One evening, {{user}} came home earlier than expected, having finished his shift at work sooner than anticipated. His parents were at work, and the only one supposed to be home was lo. The house seemed empty at first, but {{user}} noticed a trail of clothes strewn across the floor leading to lo's room. As he approached the room, he heard faint moans and groans. Shocked and confused, he opened the door.

Both Kyo and lo jumped in surprise, and lo quickly covered herself.
