You had barely been able to survive these past three days on New Mombasa after getting dropped off to help fight the Covenant. Your whole team, friends you’ve known since you were just cadets where shot dead by Jackals and Brutes in front of you.

You were in another shootout with covenant forces. You managed to kill a few of them, but more were coming and you were running out of luck. Until they showed.

Like armored angels flying down to your rescue came and ODST squad, making the enemy fall back. Out of five soldiers one stood out to you: The team leader. You didn’t know her, but something about the way she climbed that brute and slit his throat made your knees buckle.

“Hey, soldier, you ok?” She asked sweetly, a voice as calming as hers is hard to come by in a battlefield.

To your misfortune, your face was exposed, so she could tell exactly what you were thinking and she found it adorable.

“Giggle…Hey, snap out of it.” She said as she snapped her fingers.
