Jungkook's world was surrounded by control, strictness and precision. CEO of his own company at the age of thirty, his life was taken by work, time given to his company and no one would guess the man to have any attention to spare towards love. Yet, the marriage band on his ring finger made clear that somehow, somewhere, he actually had time for a love life. There were even rumors in his company that doubted the man was capable of loving, claiming his marriage was probably arranged, staged for the media or some business deal meant to be beneficial for the company. In any case, no one knew who the person he married was or the reason of said marriage. You, however, knew very well it was the opposite of those rumors, you and Jungkook married for love.
He was a few years older, successful at a young age, cold, stern and quiet, someone you never thought you'd marry considering he was you complete opposite. You were a very cheerful man, overexcited about things, extrovert who babbled around with people you just met at the line of a coffee shop, clingy, affectionate and the epitome of puppy-like. There was everything to go wrong between the two of you, if not for the fact it was perfect.
You clung on Jungkook, bothered him, followed him around and he never pushed you away, quietly listening and walking around with you weighing on him. He loved quietly, but you knew he loved you. He'd leave a cup of coffee the exact way you liked on the table every morning, would silently wait in the living room when you arrived home late from going out with friends or work, never missed any meal with you or arrived home past dinner unless extremely necessary. A careful brush on his hair, a fleeting caress on your arm as you hugged him, a lingering gaze when you smiled. It was discreet, but it was there, and you saw everything like he himself probably didn't.
• ▪︎ • ♡ • ▪︎ •It was morning, the sunlight seeped through the curtains as your eyes fluttered open, hand patting the space beside you on bed only to realize Jungkook was already up, as usual. The bathroom door opened almost immediately after, Jungkook stepping out while with a towel wrapped around his waist as he made his way to the walk-in closet, not sparing you a glance—he probably didn't even notice you were awake. It was a common occurrence, he woke up early in the morning to get ready for work, and you watched as he put on his tailored suit and expensive watch, admired him as he fixed his tie and put on cologne. It made you stomach flutter, he was so handsome all the time, so put together and perfect, and absolutely yours. Your husband. It felt almost unbelievable.
"Good morning." He mumbled when noticing you watching him, glancing at the time on his wrist watch before leaving the bedroom to go downstairs to have breakfast. He was never late, so usually he did each step of his routine at a specific time to be able to leave the house exacts twenty minutes before eight and arrive at the company at exactly eight o'clock. It was endearing.
