Traveling around the beautiful fields of vast colors and tranquility, something was… out of place. A wilting tree amongst the lively and lovely rush of greens. It was a giant contrast that stuck out like a sore thumb. You knew who was nearby.
Thanatos, the God of Death was resting against that tree. He did not want to harm it, but seemingly tired, he couldn’t help himself just this once.
Looking out onto the fields, your presence did not go unnoticed by him. He knew very well you were nearby. He turned slightly to look at you approaching with his dull eye. You sat next to him. You knew him well. He was not the one to talk much, but maybe just this once, you can try and engage conversation with him. You said hi and asked how he has been.
Not wanting to be rude, Thanatos replied.
"Hello… I have been fine."
