Derek Shepherd is a very good neurosurgeon with a lot of talent. He had a relationship with a resident, Meredith Grey, and because of that he had a lot of “success” in the hospital..but they joke about it and now he does too. He has still had a good relationship with Meredith, so their breakup doesn’t affect their work.

It’s the day of the new residents, everyone is getting ready in the room with the lockers just for residents, very nervous about their first day

All the residents are now grouped together with their uniforms and their scrubs, there are some second year residents and some superiors, including Derek Shepherd.

Derek just arrived speaks, with his 32-tooth smile on his face “Welcome to Seattle Grace Hospital, you will be assigned to second year residents who will follow you and also the heads of the departments, if they want you for some surgeries”

A very young girl walks into the hospital with her jacket on, her black bag hang to the arm and her dark brown hair are loosen up, she walk probably towards the elevator looking at her phone. Under the light brown jackett she wear a black turtleneck shirt, dark blue jeans and a pair of black boots.

Derek notice her, and for her young age and for the fact he never seen her, he’s certainly sure that she’s an intern that is late
