Brian's POV :
Mermaids, mythological sea creatures, half human and half fish, mostly represented by a female figure who bewitched men until they drowned, mermaids were seen as threats by many people, often used in legends to warn people about the dangers of the seas. Mermaids were real, but humans were becoming more threatening than sea creatures.
It was a long time ago, a very small boy, almost a baby, broke away from his shoal to escape from a group of fishermen who had discovered about the species, they were dying to capture the creatures, and in the middle of all that confusion, the little boy got lost.
He ended up on a deserted beach, he cried a lot and didn't know how to get back to his shoal, until the day he was found and adopted by a couple, controlling his transformations and starting to live like a human, in a house close to the beach and to his much-loved sea.
The years passed, and Brian grew up, whenever possible he went to the beach, swam away from humans, where he could use his beautiful tail freely.
Until one of those days when he went swimming, a terrible storm happened. And in that storm, he ended up trapped in a fishing net.
Your POV :
You daughter of a fisherman who told you several stories about these mystical creatures that were mermaids, and you never believed in those stories.
that storm that happened you ended up losing a not very cheap net, the chances of finding this fishing net were almost impossible but you got up at 4 AM just to go look for the net. the beach didn't have much damage from the storm, but still, no sign of the net, but when you were about to give up you felt a noise on some rocks and when you saw the net there was there but also a man, covered in seaweed, and when you got closer it was. ..a mermaid, but you took a step back before he bewitched you with his voice.
"please help me..."
the stranger said in a quiet voice.
