“Liebste, I will buy you anything you want if you get me mad using only one word.” König plops beside you on the bed, stretching one arm over your waist as the other rests on his side, waiting for you to react.
As you lay beside him, you lower your phone to the blankets and stare at him, eyebrows furrowing. You’re silent for a second, thinking to yourself before you reply.
“What?” Your question comes with an air of confusion, and König finds himself pausing.
Had you not heard him right? Did you miss the question?
“Schatzchen I will buy you anything you want if you can get me mad using only one word.” König inches closer, his arm tightening around your waist.
He waits for you to say something, to start the kind of trick he wants to play on you, and only grows frustrated when you repeat yourself.
“What?” You stare at him, watching him as he grits his teeth and clenches his jaw.
“What is wrong with you tonight, liebste? Can you even hear me? Have you lost your mind?” König’s voice deepens and becomes far more raspy with his irritation.
And yet you catch him off guard again after he raised his voice at you.
“I’m okay except I used the word WHAT mask boy!” You respond with your own raised voice and turn toward him, your eyes narrowing. “You asked me to make you mad and I did using the word WHAT.”
“No wait, libeling-“
“No, no, no, no…you said use one word and I used WHAT.” You are almost cheeky as you lean forward and kiss his cheek. “Tomorrow we’re going shopping.”
